Life Drawing in Bristol is a place to be creative at your own pace. No matter your skill level, if you’re coming solo or with mates - everyone is welcome.
Unless specified, all sessions are untutored. Our sessions are calm and relaxed, letting everyone have the space to concentrate and get lost in some creativity.
REGULAR SESSIONS
We’ve been running since 2019 in the heart of Bristol’s lively, scrappy creative area: Stokes Croft. Just a couple of minutes from the centre of Bristol, find us in Hamilton House, a long-time creative hub, every week for drop-in sessions.

We also run a Portrait Session once a month in lovely Clifton pub, The Whitmore Tap. It’s right opposite Clifton Down station, and features two models per session for you to draw.

Head to our ticket page, Eventbrite or Headfirst to grab a ticket. It’s very rare we have space on the door, so booking a ticket is essential!

We’re situated in Hamilton House, above The Canteen Bar/The Orchard Café at 80 Stokes Croft, BS1 3QY.
Go up the 3 concrete steps and to the double door in front of you, where our receptionist will let you in.

NO!! Our life drawing sessions are for everyone regardless of experience or skill. It’s somewhere to come and be creative, whatever that means to you.

We provide basic materials like paper, pencils, charcoal and drawing boards, but. we strongly recommend you bring your own materials if. you have them.

Luckily, we have a ramp entrance via The Canteen’s beer garden, and a lift. Please let Beth know before attending if you need access to the lift or have any other access requirements so she can make sure the receptionist is aware.

We get a LOT of requests for people wanting to model. If you’ve done it before, great - get in touch!
If not, we recommend coming to a few sessions to check out the vibe, then try practicing in front of friends at home a few times. It's harder than it looks!
Lastly, it’s cool if modelling is a bucket list thing for you, but modelling is a tough job you should take seriously. It requires a high degree of professionalism, and is about providing good poses for artists to draw.
